Restaurant Review - Purani Delhi, South Bopal, Ahmedabad

I was driving through one of the by-lanes of South Bopal when this signage of " Purani Delhi " caught my attention. It was a new restaurant in this area (I live nearby) and there are not many restaurants in this side of the city. We have plenty of small eateries and pick-up places, and any new eating place is always welcome. :) This is started by a well-known food chain Gwalia . Gwalia is reinventing itself from the sweet mart and snack set-up to full-fledged restaurants. Some times ago, they have opened a South Indian buffet restaurant, Vannakam in Ahmedabad. In quest of pure UP ka nashta

While going to watch movie, AWAKE on 17 June, 2016, on the way with my friend Ranjana, I saw a bright board in red and yellow : AGRA BHOJ. I was missing that hot "bedvi " and "hing wale rase ke aaloo ki sabzi", a typical UP breakfast complete with hot desi ghee ki jalebi. Though, there is nothing which is not available in Ahmadabad in any of the sweet shop but the typical UP ka taste was missing. Last Tuesday, my craving for the UP taste motivated me to explore AGRA BHOJ . Me and RB ( my life partner) went to have breakfast there. AGRA BHOJ is a small eatery, on Sandesh Press Road, near LAD society in the densely populated Bodakdev. It took us almost 25 minutes to reach there. We are on the outskirts of the city yet. Prestige Appam patra Last week, while scanning the news on Google news, I saw a news item from NDTV about weight loss in my personalized news items . I checked my weight and found that I have gained 4 kg in the last one and a half month while vacationing with my sister. Now, how does Google know of my weight when I am not using any of the smart watches or bands. 😁 I felt jittery :) Though not a calorie conscious person but an exercise lover, this intervention from Google has changed me. Suddenly I have started googling for low calorie foods. I come across some some fried recipes made without oil in appam patra. Wow, so now no one can stop me from getting back to my lighter version.
