I n Indian dining etiquette, it is customary to begin dining by washing and drying your hands. Whether in a restaurant, hotel, or urban home, dining tables and chairs are typically provided, while in rural areas, families may gather on floor mats in comfortable clothing for their meals. In contrast to Western traditions, food serving in India doesn't follow a course-by-course structure. All dishes are presented simultaneously. FOOD ITEMS FROM "Q"

"Q" is an alphabet, not many food items start with. I would like to recorrect this - not many Indian food items start from "Q". Anyway, now, as they say, the world is shrinking (literally and metaphorically too), so let us take food items from Q, irrespective of their origins. Before listing the other food items, I will share what comes to my mind with Q - this one is everybody's favourite - Quaker's oats. Restaurant Review - Vandanam (South Bopal, Ahmedabad)

It was in my last kitty when I had a chance to visit this newly opened eating joint. The last-minute change of venue took our kitty group in front of this newly opened restaurant. In the last few years, South Bopal has seen many outlets serving South Indian cuisines. Vandanam is the latest addition to this ever-increasing eateries. My first impression was a feeling of positivity. Seating was okay, not crumpled. The decor is simplistic and minimalistic. It is a buffet restaurant with 20+ dishes on the offering. Our guest foodpreneur this week is Ms. Anju Aggarwal who has been running "Saniya Kitchen" for the last 3 years. She came into this business just by chance. An Ahmedabadi by birth , she has found her soulmate here. She is born, brought up and settled in Ahmedabad. A true blue Ahmedabadi :). She has a large circle of friends and family in the city. She is married into a well-to -do Marwari family. Generally in marwari families, women are expected to manage the household and do not go out to work.
