The past fortnight has kept me on the run between hospitals and waiting rooms. In moments like these, food becomes more than just nourishment — it turns into a source of comfort, a little pocket of joy. Yesterday, on a rain-drenched afternoon, we stumbled upon such a joy: Annalakshmi Ahmedabad, a South Indian eatery curated by women.

The red board outside caught our attention, and though the space is modest — just 10–12 seats — it radiates warmth, cleanliness, and positivity.

What We Ate

We began with the uttapam set — four different varieties, each distinct in flavour and texture, served with hot sambhar, three chutneys, and a fiery podi dry chutney. The authenticity hit home with every bite.
