Today, as Google Doodle shines a spotlight on Golguppa, we celebrate this delightful street food that has become an integral part of Indian culinary heritage. There was a time when I eat golguppa in every outing. I do not remember the year, but there was a video of a panipuri wala adding his urine to the spicy water which he said added flavour to the water. It was shown by a news channel. That video pissed me so much that from that day, I have never eaten panipuri at any streetside vendor. Now I get a packet of puri, make a few types of spicy water at home along with different fillings like kala chana and potato and relish with family and friends. Imli saunth (tamarind chutney) is also a permanent accomplice of golguppa at my home. 



So, are you celebrating "golgupas" with Google Doodle? I am as I will have panipuri in dinner with potato tikki, samosa and chana chat.
